A Rainy Day

What is it about the rain that makes us want to sit by the window all day? As the strong winds are gushing by, the smell of the earth is changing. It almost instantly transports you to an alternate world. Suddenly, all those worries seem to disappear. It is just you in the moment. 

The mood is set: cosy PJs, an old record player playing tunes from the 90s, a book and a hot cup of tea. 

What is it about this rain that helps us discover parts of ourselves we have long forgotten? The old is washed away to make way for the new. Everything seems clean and fresh. Let us use this time to reconnect with our lost selves. Let us pick up that hobby we took up last year and left halfway.

Being all cooped up in our houses in this weather is a beautiful feeling. Make it even more memorable.  Remove that typewriter from its cover and dust it off. It’s time to awaken that writer in you.
